Sioux Merchant Patrol, is the largest
and only locally owned security company
that provides its' customers will full service security by providing

Guards, Patrol Service, Escorts, Money Transfers and VIP Escorts
to name a few.  We pride ourselves in the fact that we can
provide our clients with just about any security need that they may
ever encounter.
Sioux
Merchant Patrol, Security Service was started May 1st 1950 by Lester
and Ferne Kearney. Upon their retirement in 1986 their son David bought
the business from them after working in the business for most of his
life.
In the years that David has owned the business, he has increased it by
over 100%. Sioux Merchant Patrol now employs over
40 full and part-time people, has over 9 marked and unmarked units and
provides a variety of services to over 500 businesses. It is David's
mission
to try to give everyone the protection that they deserve from the
criminal
element that is on the rise along with the population of Sioux Falls.
David
has many Professional Connections: ASIS (American Society of Industrial
Security), Crime Stoppers, the Better Business Bureau, United  Security Association, National Association of Private Security Industries,
Defensive
Tactics Institute, FOPA (Fraternal Order of Police Association Sioux
Falls Lodge #1), Tri-State Peace Officers Association, National Chiefs
of Police Association.
David has many Community Connections:
Sioux Falls Chamber of Commerce, Sioux
Falls Noon SERTOMA, American Cancer Society-sponsor, MS Walk-sponsor,
Youth Slow Pitch Softball-sponsor, Gateway Bowling League-sponsor,
Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Dave is also on the Board of
Directors for the MS Leadership Class and a sponsor of the MS 150
Bike-A-Thon.
Dave
makes sure that his Officers work as closely as possible with the
Police, Fire and Sheriff departments. It is his belief that his company
should do the absolute most to help these departments as much as
possible
to make Sioux Falls a safe place to live.
