AUTOMOTIVE SHOP BURGLARY The Sioux Falls Police Department
would like the publics’ help finding those responsible for a break in
at 2516
South Minnesota Avenue, Automotive Brake and Exhaust. Computers,
cash, alignment tools, a Snap On tool chest, pipe bending
and tire balancing tools, and welding equipment were taken. The
theft occurred over the night of Sunday
November 2nd.
October 31st posting STOLEN CAR FROM FAIRGROUNDS The Sioux Falls Police Department
would like the publics’ help finding those responsible for the theft of
a
silver colored 2007 Dodge Charger taken between September 24th and
October 6th. The car was
taken from either the Billion’s lot at 4200 West 12th St. or the Sioux
Empire Fairgrounds. Blue temporary
dealer plates numbered D-380 were displayed in the cars window.
October 24th posting JOE FOSS SCHOOL BURGLARY The Sioux Falls
Police Department would like the publics’ help finding the person
responsible
for a break-in at Joe Foss School, 1200 East 3rd Street. The burglary occurred
on Thursday October 9th
at around 4:00am. Significant damage
was done to gain entry to the school and an office. The suspect
is described as a slender white male about 5’-9” tall
wearing dark coveralls and a ball cap worn backwards.
October 17th posting RESIDENTIAL BURGLARIES The Sioux Falls Police Department
would like the publics’ help finding those responsible for up to ten
residential break-ins since August 5th. Several purses, a digital
camera, and cash have been taken. In these cases a screen was cut
to gain
entry. They have occurred both day and
night and while residents were home or away.
The majority of these incidents were in October in the core area of the
city from about 7th Street to 26th Street and Minnesota
Avenue to Kiwanis Ave.
October 13th posting GUN CLUB VANDALIZED The Lincoln County Sheriff’s
Office would like the publics’ help finding those responsible for
damage done
at the Dakota Benchrest Shooters club located west of Tea. The
property has been vandalized twice since
May. Both times the gate was driven
through and the storage building rammed.
The vehicle involved may be a reddish colored car missing a Buick
emblem.
October 8th posting DAYTIME RESIDENTIAL THEFT The Sioux Falls Police Department
would like the publics’ help finding those responsible for another
daytime home
burglary. This latest burglary occurred
on Saturday September 6th at about 2:00pm on Twinleaf Drive
which is
located between 57th Street and Ralph Rogers Road, West
of Minnesota
Avenue. Jewelry was taken from the home
while one of the residents was mowing in the backyard. A silver
Chevy HHR retro style station wagon
or van and a white male in his mid twenties with brownish blond hair
and about
6’ tall were seen in the area.
September 26th posting PIZZA DELIVERY ROBBERIES The Sioux Falls
Police Department would like the publics’ help finding those
responsible for
three pizza delivery robberies since July 29th.
The first was just after midnight on July 29th
in the 2200 block of North Career Ave. A
gun was used by a mid-twenties black male that was over
six feet tall
with an athletic build. The next was
September 23rd in the 4600 block of West 43rd
Street. A 5’-11” black male used a
knife at about 9:00pm. The third was
September 24th at about 9:00pm where it was reported that a
Hispanic
male, around 6’ tall, in his early twenties, on a bicycle, used a knife
near 14th
Street and Western Avenue.
September 19th posting GASLIGHT LOUNGE ROBBERY The Sioux Falls Police Department
would like the publics’ help finding those responsible for the armed
robbery of
the Gaslight Lounge, 2206 West 12th Street, on Friday September 12th
at 2:45pm. A suspect entered the lounge
armed with a gun and demanded the money.
The suspect fled on foot with the money to an accomplice parked in a
car
a short distance away. The suspect is a
black male in his twenties, tall, with short curly hair and described
as having
“puffy lips”. A witness says he may go
by “J, JD, or JD Big Lips”. The car is
described as a primer gray Cadillac with black spots on the roof and
wire
wheels.
September 12th posting FATALITY HIT AND RUN The Sioux Falls Police Department
would like the publics help locating a semi-truck tractor trailer that
was in
the area of a fatal hit and run accident.
Sixty-three year old George Taylor of Webb City, Missouri died from
injuries
sustained after he was run over by a tractor trailer rig on August 23rd
at 10:30pm at the Pilot Truck stop, 5301 North Cliff Ave. The
truck is described as a white, possibly
Volvo, tractor pulling a white trailer with “Dean Foods” in large block
letters. It was driven by a white male of short
stature about 30 years of age and had a younger attractive female
passenger
with long brown hair.
September 4th posting MOTEL CLERK BOUND AND ROBBED The Sioux Falls Police Department
would like the publics’ help finding those responsible for binding the
clerk up
and robbery with a gun at the Comfort Inn Motel located near I-90 on
North
Cliff Avenue. The robbery occurred at
about 2:00am Saturday morning August 27th. A black metal cash box was
taken. The suspects are described as two white males, one wearing
a
black hooded sweatshirt and the other wearing a white one. They
are believed to have been wandering
through the motel a day or two prior to the robbery.
